RemixOS Player and AmiDuOS would be my two safest ones but, sadly, neither are supported anymore.

Use outdated software that will require some extra work and will eventually be too old for modern applicationsgames or use the modern emulator and deal with all of the bloat.

After fighting with RemixOS and AmiDuOS for a few weeks I gave up and installed Bluestacks.

After a little bit of rooting and setting up its now to a point where I can run individual games using Steam as a launcher (for my Steam Controller).

I still wish that something else would come out that provided a safe, fast, stock Android experience though.

At times it is a bit laggy too, and it takes very long to start.

Want to know why Read up here.) The truth is, the vast majority of Android emulators on PC these days are using the same framework based on VirtualBox.

And theyre all developed by Chinese companies, so expect relatively the same amount of telemetry in all of them, which is both a real thing and not as bad as many people claim (most of the time).

You either accept it or you dont use Android emulators, simple as that.

Of this category of emulators, Mumu App Player is currently the best of the bunch.

Compatibility and performance are both very high, and its one of the few to properly support gamepad input (most tell you to use JoyToKey, which is ridiculously outdated--use AntiMicro if you must).

The amount of ads in the emulator itself is also minimal (also a rarity).

My only real complaint is that Mumu doesnt allow setting up discrete virtual machines with their own ROMs.

If you need that, Memu is a close 2nd (but without gamepad support).

Bluestacks, Nox, Ko Player, Droid4x, Genymotion, Andy, and so on are all inferior for one reason or another.

I also dont really recommend using the official Google emulator for recreational purposes.

Its purpose is for accurate testing, not high-performance gaming.

Most VMs here wont last very long, because the point is to create and destroy them to try out different things and keep up-to-date with Android developments.

An emulator designed for gaming is going to be the better choice for most users.
